What Is CIJ Printing?
CIJ printing, or Continuous Inkjet printing, is a non-contact technology used to mark products with text, dates, barcodes, and graphics on fast-moving production lines.
How CIJ Printing Works
- Ink is pumped under pressure through a tiny nozzle.
- A vibrating crystal breaks the ink into droplets.
- Electrically charged droplets are deflected to form characters on the material.
- Unused ink droplets are recycled back into the system.
Advantages of CIJ
- High-speed printing (even on moving surfaces)
- Suitable for various materials: plastic, glass, metal, paper
- Continuous operation with minimal downtime
CIJ is ideal for industries like beverage, food packaging, electronics, and pharmaceuticals.
